Higgins and Madewell will bring their version of “Hippie Country that Rocks” to Prouty Plaza on Friday, July 20th at 7:30 pm. Both Erin and Jeff have had a broad musical background and their selections can range from Johnny Cash to Janis Joplin. Erin Higgins’ incredible vocal range and deep relationship to the lyrics carries out the story of their relationship to the lyrics carries out the story of their music as Jeff Madewell’s masterful acoustic guitar completes the interpretation. Erin says: “It’s really a blend of all different genres, he comes from more of a rock and metal background, and I tend to go more towards country and folk. We both like the blues, so there aren’t many styles you won’t hear us play…” Like Johnny and June, these two were just meant to make music together.. Presented by Troy-Hayner Cultural Center.
