Copland’s simple American melodies act as the perfect prelude to towering favorites by two of the greatest composers who ever lived. Young pianist Gavin George returns to the Schuster for Mozart’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 21. Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony is the composer’s musical depiction of a stroll through nature, with flowery fields and an earth-shattering storm, complete with howling wind and thunder.
