An American Experience with the MVSO
The MVSO celebrates American composers featuring the “Gaelic” Symphony of Amy Beach during this 150th anniversary of her birth. Beach was the first female composer to have a symphony performed by a major orchestra. The MVSO is excited to offer the rare opportunity to hear this work performed live. Leonard Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances from West Side Story” brings the concert to a rousing close.
