Free Journalism Workshop with the Journalism Lab
The Journalism Lab is recruiting for its next Bureau training series!
To answer questions and further explain workshop, we are holding an online INFORMATION SESSION AT 7:30PM ON AUGUST 31, 2023.
The Bureau meetings will take place bi-monthly on Thursday evenings, beginning September 7 and running until December 7, 2023. Held from 7:30pm to 9pm, in the 90-minute gatherings participants will develop story ideas under the guidance of a team of experienced reporters. Past participants have gone on to produce over a dozen news stories for leading regional media.
We are seeking participants based in the region (Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble counties). Our goal is to serve as a venue to discuss issues that are important to you and your community, and to help develop those ideas into story form. Does it work? Yes: Past participants have published more than a dozen stories in the Dayton Daily News and Cincinnati Enquirer. The bi-monthly meetings are free to all.
