Music of Billy Joel with Michael Cavanaugh

Dayton Philharmonic Rockin' Orchestra Series at the Schuster

Handpicked by Billy Joel, Michael Cavanaugh was invited to move to New York City and help shape Movin’ Out, the Broadway musical. From 2002 to 2005, Michael Cavanaugh played the pianist-singer in Movin’ Out, singing nonstop during the show, which has no dialogue other than the music. Cavanaugh was nominated for both a Grammy and a Tony award for this role. Since the end of his Broadway run, he has performed with symphony orchestras worldwide.
