December 8 - December 30: Open 6-9 pm
Woodland Lights returns for a 25th season with the traditional lights and sights people have come to love and a month loaded with holiday activities. The Miami Valley's most beloved lighting festival now opens a week early -- on the Friday after Thanksgiving, when friends and family are gathered to kick off the holiday season.
Woodland Lights offers the beauty of lights sparkling along a half-mile wooded path and reflecting against a woodland pond, plus a view of whimsical characters and illuminated critters preparing for the holidays. New this year - Grinchworld at Woodland Lights has been completely redone so that guests can now step right into the Grinch storybook. In Grinchworld, you can help the Grinch plot on Mount Krumpet, steal the Who's stockings, pack his slay, and even help carve his roast beast!
Every night features all-new amusement rides for kids and adults, live animals, carrriage rides, bonfires and concessions provided by a variety of local vendors.
Sam's Holiday Central in the A-Frame will offer family entertainment, a roaring fire, holiday films and cartoon shorts on a giant screen, plus a rotating cast of colorful costumed characters - Olaf, Ana, the Grinch, Buddy the Elf, Mickey, Minnie and more.
Special nights include Pet Nights by PetPeople, visits from the cast of Town Hall Theatre's Fancy Nancy's Splendiferous Christmas, and other special nights!
Every night ... Santa welcomes children to his cabin nightly through December 23. Just walk down a sparkling path to an historic log cabin that's decorated in lights and festooned with greenery. Everything about the log home is authentic -- from the large beams overhead to the old limestone fireplace. A fire burns each night in a large hearth near Santa's chair, greenery is draped across the mantle, and a holiday tree sits in the corner. The cabin offers an inviting, non-commercial alternative for visiting Santa.
