Woodland Lights is located at Countryside Park, next to the Washington Township Recreation Center, 895 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd.
Woodland Lights returns with the traditional lights and sights people have come to love and a month loaded with holiday activities. The Miami Valley's most beloved lighting festival now opens a week early -- on the Friday after Thanksgiving, when friends and family are gathered to kick off the holiday season.
As always, Woodland Lights will be filled with sparkling lights, whimsical displays, and a winding path that passes through themed lands such as Candyland, Arctic Tundra and Toyland. The path also leads to what has become the festival’s centerpiece: the panoramic view of lights reflecting off the woodland pond. All of it takes place against a backdrop of holiday music. Nightly activities include:
Junior Claus (select nights)
Junior Claus will visit Woodland Lights on select nights, along with other cast members from Junior Claus, presented December 6-22 at Town Hall Theatre. Junior is the only son of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Like many teenagers, he is reluctant to take over the family business. When a sudden drop in Christmas spirit renders Santa incapable of making the great ride, Junior must take the reins.
Pet Nights (select nights)
Your family’s best friend is invited to walk the holiday path. We even provide doggie waste bags at the gate and throughout the park. Dogs should be people friendly and kept on a leash to assure a positive experience for all. Please check our online nightly calendar for dates.
Every night through December 23, Santa welcomes children to his cabin. Just walk down a sparkling path to a historic log cabin that's decorated in lights and festooned with greenery. Everything about the log home is authentic -- from the large beams overhead to the old limestone fireplace. A fire burns each night in a large hearth near Santa's chair, greenery is draped across the mantle, and a holiday tree sits in the corner. The cabin offers an inviting, non-commercial alternative for visiting Santa.
