The Cool Films Series at Victoria Theatre

Celebrate great American cinema at the Victoria Theatre

The Victoria Theatre Association have announced the 2018 Summer Cool Films Series line-up running July 6-August 26.

“Since the 1940s, what is now known as the Victoria Theatre was the place to come to see a great movie,” says Ken Neufeld, President and CEO of Victoria Theatre Association and The Arts Center Foundation. “There’s no better way to spend your summer than at the historic Victoria Theatre watching classic films."

“This summer we’ll celebrate the 50th anniversary of THE PLANET OF THE APES and 30th anniversary of DIE HARD. Bring the family for a fun Christmas in July weekend with NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATIONELF and MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET and meet the new Rike’s Elves Gustaf and Gigi. Or, bring a date to the Disaster Weekend featuring THE POSEIDEN ADVENTURETHE TOWERING INFERNO, and EARTHQUAKE.”

“We also have old and new classic films ADAM’S RIB, THE PRINCESS BRIDE, IRMA LA DOUCE, and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. Our Reel Late at the VIC series continues with the return of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW on July 14 and MONTY PYTHON’S THE HOLY GRAIL on Aug. 11. We are still using 35 mm prints as much as possible, keeping the prices low, and, of course, free popcorn and soda at most every show.”

Tickets are just $6 each or $39 for a 10-ticket passbook– a great entertainment bargain during a year when a night at the movie theater can cost up to $20 per person! Passbooks are not valid for Reel Late at the Vic movies. New this year, you can now buy your individual film tickets in advance at Ticket Center Stage, located in the Wintergarden of the Schuster Center, or by phone (937-228-3630, toll-free 888-228-3630), and online at www.ticketcenterstage.com.
