Our Native Xenia, Cultural Series - X*ACT Celebrates Native American Indian Heritage 

Kick OFF Friday, OCT., 18th -  GALA FUNDRAISER - 5:30pm | Film 7:30pm | $13 GA, Children 12 and Under $10
Saturday OCT., 19th at 7:30pm | Doors open at 6:30pm
Sunday, OCT., 20th at 3:00pm | Doors open at 2:00pm

The Xenia Area Commnity Theater, X*ACT, will celebrate Native American Heritage Month all thru November, kicking off with a special screening of the award-winning film adaptation of the best-selling novel Neither Wolf Nor Dog (starring the unforgettable Dave Bald Eagle) on October 18,19 and 20, (See Film Event) with an equally special Fundraising Gala event on Friday evending.  Art and artifact will be on exhibit and music performances will be shceduled from October 18th through November 30th, during open hours and during scheduled plays throughout the month of November. 

Award-winning Native American flute player Matthew Thoma will be a guest performer at the October 18th Gala premier of the film, and additional events are being scheduled for November– including displays and sales of art and artifacts. Wine, cheese and light hors d’oeuvre’s will be served during the GALA Fundraiser.

Please note, X*ACT is seeking Native American art and artifacts to display in conjunctionwith their Native American Heritage Month celebration from October 15 thru November. Any one wishing to lend items for display, or to consign Native American items for sale, can contact X*ACT at (937) 372-0516.

Tickets are $13 for the GALA FUNDRAISER and children 12 and under are $10.
Tickets for the remaining shows are $10 and $7 for children 12 and under.
Exhibits are free to the public and open during the hours of noon to 4 on most Thursdays and Saturdays and noon to six on Fridays. We are also open during play dates for extended hours and on the last Sunday of any perfomance series.

About The Film

A white author is summoned by a Lakota Elder who asks him to write a book about his perspective. After a blundering false start, he is all but kidnapped and sucked into a road trip through the heart of the contemporary Native American landscape.
