Ages: 4-5 and 6-7
Join us for one - or all four! - weeks of summer fun and learning designed just for our youngest campers. These HALF DAY camps will offer a new theme each week for campers to explore, and campers will be divided into age-appropriate groups with activities geared just for them.?
Week 1: Wild Kratts – New animals and adventure for 2018!
July 16 – 20
Time to put your creature suits on Kratts Kids! Earn your creature disks as we explore different creatures and where they live. But watch out: We may have to save a few animals on our adventures! Campers will learn about animals from the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s Discovery Zoo and animals found throughout the world.
Week 2: Adventures in Outer Space
July 23 – 27
Does your young astronaut aim for the stars? Then get ready for blast off! Campers suit up and fly away in Outer Space camp. Students will learn about planets, space travel, and might even see an alien or two!
Week 3: Story Book Science
July 30 – August 3
Have you ever read a book you loved so much you wanted to jump in? Well, now you can! Explore your favorite STEM-based stories in this hands-on camp. We will explore the science behind books such as The Three Little Pigs, Mix it Up, The Dandelion, Rosie Revere Engineer, and Gravity.
Week 4: Creative Scientists
August 6 – 10
Art and science often go hand-in-hand. After all, Einstein himself once said “The greatest scientists are artists as well.” Nowhere is that more true than at the Boonshoft! This unique camp will use artistic methods to explore scientific concepts in fun, hands on ways.
