*****Fun Run Facts*****
1. The Fun Run is not the 5K Run but will be held before the race just for fun along the much smaller pathway in the park.
2. You can register for both the 5K Walk/Run and the Fun Run as they take place at different times! The fun run will start and finish before the 5K Run Walk begins.
3. If you are only registered for the Fun Run, there is NO SHIRT and NO MEDAL provided for participating. The Medals (while supplies last) and Shirts are for those who signed up for the 5K Walk Run.
4. The Fun Run is not a timed race, it is just for fun!!! So run fast or walk slow, but enjoy it either way!
5. There is no age limit for the Fun Run, but it is expected to be for the younger in age or or younger at heart attendees.
Let us know if you have any additional questions! We hope you all will cheer on our Fun Run Participants!
We are very aware of the issue with water, eloping, and ASD and took great care in keeping this issue at the forefront of any decision-making we had to do for this walk. As a team, we have walked the grounds and worked with the Five Parks team to create a scenic route that provides a safe area for our population. Here is the link to the route: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5866857298. We suggest you view it under the “satellite” view to see the barrier between the water and the pathway. We also plan to have a line of volunteers along the path to ensure that participants remain on the path and assist wherever needed.
