With almost 30 years of experience Gerri has worked with all types of fabric, from the most delicate silk fabrics to the stone studded fabrics. She is very creative and will work with you to bring your ideas to reality. Gerri not only sews these fabrics but also has knowledge in cleaning and caring for all types of fabrics.  

Taking a bodice design from a gown and adding it to a different skirt design is something that Gerri can do. Making a completely different gown all together. You just want to change your train? That's ok, Gerri can do that for you. Whatever it is you want to do to your gown, she can do it.

Bridal Alterations

At A Fit Of Perfection Alterations we specialize in bridal & formal wear alterations, design, re-design and gown preservation.

What to expect at your first fitting:

We starts with a personal consultation, where we get to meet the bride and to look at her gown. (Please bring under garments and shoes to this fitting as well.) We see what needs to be done to the gown. The bride brings ideas of any changes she wants. Pictures or drawings and etc... Any re-designing ideas should be discussed at this time. Set up an appointment to come in for a second fitting.

We do alterations to the bridal gown and set up an appointment for any other fittings if needed for the gown. Once the alterations are completed on your gown,  we can press your gown and have it ready for the pick up. Or a delivery date of your choosing.

We work with the simplest to the most complicated gowns. We can cut the size of a gown down to fit a smaller size, or we can make the gown a larger size.
