Introducing...Bridgette Bogle an Book Making
Thursday, April 8, 6:30pm
Virtually join the DSA for a book making workshop over Zoom! Meet instructor, Bridgette Bogle and learn about her artistic practice. Follow along and use the kit included in registration to create your own 5.25"x 5.25" accordion book. The book will be based on a poem or song.
Registrants will pick up their kits from the High Street Gallery (48 High Street, Dayton) 12pm-5pm: Friday, April 2 or Saturday April 3, 2021

Accordion Book Kit Includes
- 22x30 Heavyweight Watercolor paper
- 8 Sheets 6"x6" decorative paper
- 4 Sheets 8.5"x11" Mulberry Paper
- 4 sheets 8.5"x11" neon paper
- PVA Glue
- Exacto Knife
- 2: 5.25" x 5.25" Matte board
Additional Materials Needed
- cutting surface
- Poem or song to base your book upon.
- Optional: Bone Folder for Creasing
- Optional: Additional collage materials (paper, decorations, etc.)
Bridgette Bogle
Bridgette Bogle was born in Roswell, New Mexico in 1977; thirty years after the space aliens crashed there and caused such a ruckus. Bogle received her MFA from the Ohio State University in painting and drawing in 2003. She has participated in numerous solo, two person and group exhibitions nationally, including, Sentimental and not, Rueff Gallery, Purdue University, West Layfayette, Indiana. Bogle recently was awarded an Artist Opportunity Grant from the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District.
Bogle currently serves as an Associate Professor of Art at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.
Introducing...
The purpose of the workshop series, Introducing..., is to acquaint DSA members and the community to different mediums and methods in the visual arts. In conjunction, the attendees will get to know the instructing artist, their background, and tips and tricks of their trade.
