Art on the Playground 2024

Join us for an interactive art festival at the Habitat Environmental Center on Saturday, May 4th.  Let your imagination run wild at our interactive community event! Artists will be on hand to provide guidance and inspiration.  This year’s theme *may* be near and dear to many: this year’s event falls on Star Wars Day: May the 4th Be With You!

Art on the Playground features a range of hands-on, make-and-take art activities. Featuring clay sculptures, wind socks, puppets, bracelets, and printmaking opportunities for the older kids, our youth-oriented artists will help everyone make their very own masterpieces to take home!

Art on the Playground features a fantastic lineup of performances from local community groups. This year’s event features:
Southdale Elementary’s Schulwerk-Orff Ensemble
Kettering Children’s Choir
Kettering Children’s Theatre
Miami Valley Dance Company

Art on the Playground is organized by Rosewood Arts Center and hosted at the Habitat Environmental Center in Kettering. The event will take place rain or shine. In case of rain, the art activities will take place inside the Habitat Environmental Center. Parking is available at Southdale Elementary School.
