Library Expands Curbside Services

In addition to curbside pickup of books and other Library materials, Dayton Metro Library staff will now make copies, send faxes, scan and print for curbside pickup, too. Curbside Services are available at all Dayton Metro Library locations, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Patrons who want to use curbside copy/fax/scan/print services must make arrangements in advance by calling the Ask Me Line at 937-463-2665.

“Our Curbside Services are designed to accommodate people who are working hard to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus by avoiding unnecessary contact with others, or who cannot wear a mask,” said Rachel Gut, Deputy Director of the Library. Masks covering the nose and mouth are required inside all Dayton Metro Library buildings, for ages 6 and up.

Curbside pickup of reserved or requested Library materials has been available at all DML locations since June. Now, with advance arrangements, patrons can drop off originals to be copied, faxed or scanned, along with payment, and wait curbside while the job is completed. Staff will accept payment and the items to be copied, faxed or scanned, then return the originals, copies or prints, and any paperwork that shows the task has been performed.

Wireless printing allows patrons to send print jobs directly from their computer, tablet or phone to the Library of their choice. Instructions can be found at DaytonMetroLibrary.org/mobileprint.

Curbside Services are available at all Dayton Metro Library Branches and the Main Library, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. All DML locations are closed on Sunday and Monday. For more information, visit DaytonMetroLibrary.org or call 937-463-2665.
