Multi-platinum country music artist, Clay Walker will be at JD Legends on August 12 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Walker's hit songs include “What’s It To You”, “If I Could Make A Living”, “This Woman and This Man”, “She Won’t Have It”, and “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”  In 1996, Walker was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but it has not slowed him down and his concerts are still high energy. He has since raised more than $5,000,000 for the Band Against MS foundation. On the Outdoor Channel, Walker is also the host of ‘Trophy Hunters.’

10 Questions With….Clay Walker

1. What inspired you to pursue the genre of country music?
Country music was part of my upbringing so I naturally sang along with the radio. People in school always teased me about my country accent so I think pop music was out of the question.

2. What is something you regret doing as a teenager?
I’m not sure I have a regret really because I am glad I pursued my country music journey at an early age as soon as I finished high school. I had a four year plan that I had written down and if I wasn’t signed to a major record label I would have gone to college.

3. How has your diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis changed your life?
It’s been a positive thing in my life. It made priorities have more clarity and also made me thankful for the subtle but significant things that most of us tend to overlook.

4. What is a movie you have watched multiple times?
Tombstone, Lonesome Dove, and Jeremiah Johnson.

5. Who did you first see in concert?
Alabama.

6. What ‘hunting trophy’ are you most proud of?
My son, Will, killed his first deer in Kerville, TX last year while we were hunting together in a blind. It hangs on the wall of his bedroom,…not coincidentally the only ‘mount’ my wife has allowed in the house.

7. If you could know the answer to any question, what would it be?
Is Heaven for real?

8. What’s the hardest thing you have ever done?
Bury my father.

9. What’s your worst habit?
Not following directions.

10. What’s a career goal you have yet to accomplish?
A number one album.
