The Main Dayton Metro Library resumes its tradition of hosting live musical performances each Friday between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Bring your lunch, a book, or a friend and enjoy a free musical interlude in your day, located in the Main Library's Eichelberger Forum.
December 6th: Harmony of Japan - a Japanese Women's Chorus led by Yasuko Brecht. Formed four years ago, this group enjoys performing popular, as well as traditional Japanese songs.
December 13th: Miami Valley Klezmer Ensemble - Klezmer is traditionally Jewish music from Eastern Europe that dates back to the 16th century. Originally used for wedding dances, today it is popular in concert.
December 20th: Bright Moments Quintet - The Bright Moments Quintet is dedicated to promoting jazz education through performance, student workshops, and teacher clinics. The repertoire includes original compositions and jazz standards that reflect the great tradition of this American art form we call Jazz.
