Great American Takeout - March 31
Dayton area restaurants are in crisis. The coronavirus poses a significant threat to the future of an industry that employs more than 15 million nationwide. That’s why we’re asking everyone in the Miami Valley to support restaurants and their employees on Tuesday, March 31, by joining #TheGreatAmericanTakeout and eating at least one delivery or pick-up meal.
Amy Zahora, Executive Director of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association (MVRA) said local restaurants have risen to the challenge caused by the coronavirus pandemic, many offering carryout for the first time, with some changing their menus on a weekly basis.
"Now is the time more than ever to support your local restaurants, and from what I am hearing from our local restaurants, the community is really showing them support," Zahora said. "Order carry-out, buy a gift certificate and support our restaurant community."
This crisis has our local restaurants hard. You can help on March 31, and for the duration of the Ohio stay-at-home order by ordering takeout or delivery.
