British Transportation Museum’s chili cookoff - Oct. 22
The British Transportation Museum is having its Seventh Annual Chili Cookoff and Cruise-In on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in its 83,000- sq.-ft. building at 321 Hopeland Ave. Prizes will be awarded for best overall chili and people’s choice.
“Enter your favorite chili or come enjoy the talents of others,” said Pete Stroble, BTM president. “We had 75 attend last year’s event and are hoping for 100 this year.”
Proceeds will benefit the building fund at the only all-volunteer 501 (c3) educational, non-profit museum in the United States dedicated to the preservation of British-built transportation vehicles. The collection includes all forms of British transportation – including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles – and especially the British-made vehicles that have been used in the United States.
There will also be a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart at the cookoff.
Tickets are $10. For tickets, more info, or to enter the cookoff contact Amanda Hawker at BTMkids1@gmail.com or 937-238-8451.
