Owen's Place Family Fun Day
Beavercreek City Schools is hosting the 1st annual Owen’s Place Family Fun Day. All the proceeds from this donation only event go to Owen’s Place to help them build a Field of Dreams similar to the Joe Nuxhall Miracle Field. For those of you not familiar with Owen’s Place, it is a universally accessible recreation area, designed for individuals of all ages and ability levels. It is the inspiration of Trish Gustafson, whose son, Owen, uses a wheelchair. Owen’s Place is located in Victory Park, which is connected to Rotary Park in Beavercreek.
Family Fun Day is being held on Sunday May 6th from 12-6 at Rotary/Victory Park. There will be entertainment, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and family-friendly games and activities. Heater from the Dayton Dragon will be there from 1-2 and there will be a special needs baseball game at 2:30. There will be 2 shuttle buses running from the East Parking Lot at Beavercreek High School and handicapped parking will be on site at Victory Park. We invite the community to come and enjoy this family-friendly event.
