Cowvin's Corny Playland Adventure

Opens for weekends Aug 30th, then daily starting September 21st – 11am-6pm
The spring and early summer of 2019 was the wettest we have ever experienced on our farm. You may remember when it was raining 4-5 days per week much of April, May and part of June. This created challenges to us in many ways – among those challenges was the planting of Cowvin’s Corny Maze.
We’ve featured a corn maze of various shapes and sizes for 27 years – our first corn maze was in 1993! We planted our maze twice this spring and early summer. The first planting was a 100% failure – it was so wet that the seeds didn’t germinate at all.
The second time we planted – we barely were able to get into the field – the crop germinated about 35% of the field – some parts are almost normal, in other parts of the field, almost no corn grew.
Of course, since it stopped raining, the ground is now too dry! We’ve irrigated part of the field the past couple of weeks – and it helped. However, our corn field is not up to our standards to create a great family fun maze.
As part of growing up on a farm, we are used to working with and around the weather as it happens and figuring out what we can do. We know we have a responsibility to our Guests – you depend on us to live our mission – We Create Fun for Our Customers – everyday. Since we do not have a good field for a corn maze this year – we’re doing something new and different we feel will be a great value to our Guests.
Introducing Cowvin’s Corny Playland Adventure. The setting is in our cornfield – a corny path to walk in amongst the cornstalks that did grow. The wagon ride to and from Cowvin’s Corny Playland Adventure is the same as ever – we take you from near the Dairy Store out to our field and back as part of the adventure.
Once you are at Cowvin’s Corny Playland Adventure you enter the cornfield and follow the winding corn path to the playland adventure part of the experience. You will have fun at several fun features like a Bale Maze, Hula Hoop® Toss onto stick farm animals, picture opportunities at our bale art animals, Human Hamster Wheels, fun Bale Climbing and Slide, Pumpkin Bowling and more. All these activities, including the wagon ride, is just $4 a person.
Cowvin’s Corny Playland Adventure is a fun alternative experience to the corn mazes we’ve produced over the past decades. We look forward to you and your family having fun on our farm this year – and in 2020 we will reintroduce Cowvin’s Corny Maze.
