Hyacinth Paul Art

Dr. Hyacinth Paul is a retired scientist and Professor who recently started her career as an artist. Her works are both abstract and realistic, mostly done in oil, acrylics and mixed media. Her paintings are very colorful because she believes color sparks synesthesia and involuntarily evokes feelings of joy.

Dr. Paul’s paintings using the method of the old masters and her abstracts are opinions and thoughts she is trying to communicate through her colorful canvas. She completed over 58 works in the 58th year of her life and continues to be productive as she turned 60 this year!

Dr. Paul has exhibited in more than 10 solo/group exhibitions. She was recently awarded an artist opportunity grant from the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District (MCACD) to study Plein Aire painting in Provence and Barcelona. 8 of her paintings will be exhibited in New York City in 2020-2021.

She currently showcases her work at Front street gallery and has a significant online presence.
