The Centerville Arts Commission is pleased to announce the Centerville Art Gallery will feature the work of local artist Ginny Baughman throughout the month of September. The exhibit may be viewed 24 hours a day at the Centerville Police Department, 155 West Spring Valley Road.
Baughman has lived and worked in Ohio her entire life. She obtained her BFA from the University of Dayton and her MA in Art Education from The Ohio State University. Born in Dayton, after college Ginny moved to Westerville, Ohio. She gained notoriety in central Ohio with her traditional drawings and paintings of architectural portraits and landscapes of the area and as a teaching artist working with all types of students in a wide variety of venues.
About 10 years ago Ginny shifted to creating contemporary multidimensional artwork. She has worked in a variety of media including drawing, painting, cut paper, fiber, found object sculpture, installation and sidewalk chalk.
Today she continues to work in both traditional and contemporary styles, and her artwork has been featured in a wide variety of solo and group exhibitions all over Ohio and the US.
