Vendor Blender Holiday Edition
Do you hear the holiday music playing yet? The holidays are approaching fast, and so is your favorite one-stop shopping event! Mark your calendars for the next Vendor Blender Holiday- Edition to be held on November 12th at the Holiday Inn in Fairborn! We are very excited to welcome Feed the Creek as our benefiting charitable organization!
The Holiday Inn will be packed for an afternoon of fun, food, raffles, and over 50 vendors for your shopping pleasure! There will surely be something for everyone, including direct sales, unique crafters, bake shops, and even a masseuse. Snacks and refreshments, including mimosas and wine, will be available for purchase at the event. The event is free admission, and opens to the public from 1 PM – 5 PM.
Several local businesses will also be represented at the event with special raffle items. Tickets for the 50/50 raffle will be available at the event for $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. Attendees are encouraged to donate items to support the mission of Feed the Creek. Any person who brings an item(s) off the organization’s donation list will receive a ticket for each item donated and will be entered in a special raffle drawing. A list of requested and acceptable donation items can be found on our Facebook page. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated directly to Feed the Creek.
Feed the Creek was founded in 2010 with the mission to end childhood hunger in the lives of the children in Beavercreek and other surrounding Greene County schools. On average, one out of eight school age children (kindergarten – 8th grade) do not have enough food to eat over the weekend. Most of these children qualify for free or reduced lunches at school, but the difficulty comes during the weekends or holidays when they may not have enough food. Feed the Creek provides these children with “brown bag” lunches each week to take home. The organization, on average, provides 400 bags a week. We can fight childhood hunger one bag at a time!
