A Litha Evening - Candlelight Dinner, Ritual, & Craft

Join us in the Temple for an evening celebrating Litha, also known as Midsummer! Occurring on the Summer Solstice (the longest day of the year,) for some cultures it was a battle between the night and day, the light and the dark.

This is the time of the year that the Oak King and the Holly King battle for the right to rule, this bi-annual dule is the stuff of legends! This is also the time of the year that the Goddess prepares to give birth to the Oak King’s child, a symbolic harvesting of the sewed seeds.

This is also the time of the year that it was believed that the faery and fae were extremely active (and perhaps a bit mischievous!)

During the event, we will:

-Dine by candlelight and enjoy an abundant potluck meal sure to fill up the soul (and your belly!) You are welcome to bring a vegetarian dish, dessert, and/or beverage.
-Share stories in circle
-Create and take an adorable Flower Faery!
-Light the fire of our manifestations with spellwork
-Build our seasonal altar in our shared altar room

*Please bring something for the altar. You are welcome to take the altar item home when we dismantle the altar at the end of the night, end of the season, or you can leave your item as a gift for the temple.

While we will be providing several food dishes to serve; if you feel called, please bring a vegetarian side dish, dessert and/or beverage to share!

Coffee, water, tea, and wine are provided.

Whether you are in or out of the Broom Closet, this gathering is for you!
