The ARTery Gallery New Contemporary Show
The ARTery Gallery at Front Street invites you to come see our Current ”Contemporary” Members show on display on our Hallway Show Walls through August. Mikee Huber is the Gallery’s NEW Visiting Artist for August. Mikee is a creative, intuitive, colorful and expressive multi-media abstract painter whose work is sure to tantalize your senses. The Gallery invites you to welcome our Newest Member Artist, Amy O’Hearn, an exciting up and coming, young Contemporary painter with some fantastic work currently on display as well as Leonard Williams, the Gallery’s Highlighted artist of the Month for August.
Leonard Williams, a long time member of the ARTery Gallery, is a very accomplished and highly acclaimed painter at the ARTery Gallery who specializes in paintings rendered in watercolor or acrylic paint. The painting accompanying this article is entitled “Havasu Falls”, a Waterfall Fall of Havasu Creek, located in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It is within the Havasupai American Indian tribal lands.
Williams began painting full time in 1984 and has enjoyed capturing the scenic beauty of the Dayton area landscapes over the years, as well as those out West in the US. The Waynesville artist concentrates on the realistic depiction of wildlife and rural vignettes and is perhaps best known for his vibrant watercolor scenes. Williams uses rich colors to create his watercolor paintings of the natural world, as well as commemorative works and scenes of people and wildlife. He has also been a gifted and beloved instructor at the Rosewood Art Center in Kettering, OH for many years.
Williams’ paintings have been recognized in numerous juried art shows and he has achieved countless awards and honors over the course of his artistic career. Williams has many works displayed in both private and corporate collections and is represented by galleries in Kettering, Waynesville, Dayton, Toledo, OH, and Billings, Montana.

The ARTery Gallery at Front Street currently has 16 member artists and artisans, and hosts a variety of work from Jewelry and Ceramics to Textile art, Printmaking, Sculpture, Painting, Photography, and Digital Art. The ARTery Gallery is located in the Front Street Bldg, Door B-C, 3rd Floor, and OPEN 1st Friday from 5-9pm, and also 3rd Sunday from 11am-4pm.

*1st Friday, August 6th, the ARTery Gallery will be open from 5-9 pm. Come join in the fun with an evening rich in art, entertainment, and community. There will be lots of art studios open including the ARTery Gallery, Individual and Group exhibitions, live music, and dinner available via local food trucks in the parking lot.
*3rd Sunday, August 15th, the ARTery Gallery will be open from 11am-4pm, and There will be lots of other art studios open and exhibitions as well. Front Street has an exciting line up for the afternoon outside in the parking lot including an open Vendor Market, live music and food vendors.
