Springboro presents Bike Across America
The City of Springboro Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) in partnership with the Franklin-Springboro Public Library are presenting a Bicycle Speaker Series. Open to all ages unless otherwise indicated, registration is not required. All programs are free and presented at the Springboro Library, 125 Park Lane.
February 5: “Bike Across America”: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Kettering resident Earl McDaniel cycled 3,642 miles in 38 days while traveling through 18 states to cross the United States on bicycle. Ages 16 and up.
February 11: “Rails-to-Trails Conservancy”: 7-8 p.m.
Eric Oberg, Director of Trail Development, Midwest Regional Office of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, tells how it all started, what’s happening now and plans for the future.
February 19: “Bicycle Maintenance”: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Bring your bicycle and join Otto Bohn, owner of Spoken Bicycles in Middletown, for a hands-on basic bicycle repair workshop. Ages 16 and up.
