Celebrate Presidents' Day at National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

The Museum is a great place to observe Presidents' Day!
The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force is a great place to observe Presidents' Day on Monday, Feb. 19. Tour the Presidential Gallery which features 10 historical aircraft that carried U.S. presidents, heads of state, diplomats and other dignitaries. Visitors can walk through four of these aircraft, including the VC-54C Sacred Cow used by President Roosevelt, the VC-121E Columbine III used by President Eisenhower, the VC-118 The Independence used by President Truman, and the VC-137C - SAM 26000, also known as Air Force One, that served eight presidents including Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Clinton. 
 
Special Air Mission (SAM) 26000 carried President Kennedy's body back to Washington, D.C. from Dallas after his assassination on Nov. 22, 1963, and served as the location where President Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in as the new president.
 
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with various Air Force One subject-matter experts near SAM 26000 in the Presidential Gallery between 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. These former Air Force One crewmembers include a retired pilot, crew chief, and support crew.
