Opening Reception: Planetary Climate Emergency

Earlier this summer, the Yellow Springs Arts Council reached out to area artists to create work motivated by the Planetary Climate Emergency in which we currently find ourselves. Art has a great capacity to expand awareness, engage emotions, and help educate people about the need for action. The resulting works will be on display in this exhibition. Due to fluctuating COVID levels, we request that all visitors wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination status. At the Opening Reception on Friday, August 19, YSAC and the Citizens Climate Lobby will award three cash prizes to participating artists. Some of the participating artists will be in attendance, and refreshments will be served.
