New Eyes: New Works by Kelcy Chase Folsom
University of Dayton Department of Art and Design and The Blue House Arts are excited to present, New Eyes featuring works from Kelcy Chase Folsom at UD’s Index Gallery located at the HUB in the Dayton Arcade opening July 2nd 5-7pm and running through August 19th! We hope you can join us for an in person opening reception First Friday in July on the Rotunda of the Arcade July 2nd! New Eyes is made possible through support from Montgomery County, Culture Works, The Blue House Arts, and the Front Street Global Artist Initiative.
About the Artist:
Kelcy Chase Folsom received his MFA in Ceramics from University of Colorado Boulder and his BFA from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a resident artist at numerous residencies including the Center for Ceramics in Berlin, Germany, The Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia, and The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has taught at Maryland Institute College of Art, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, The George Washington University, Corcoran College of Art and Design, University of the Arts, and Virginia Commonwealth University. Currently, he is Adjunct Faculty at SUNY New Paltz. He lives and works in Kingston, New York.
In addition to Kelcy Chase Folsom’s Exhibition, New Eyes, he will be giving an Artist Talk regarding his work via Zoom Wednesday July 7th from 6-7pm.

University of Dayton’s Index Gallery is located in the Hub at the Dayton Arcade 31 South Main Street Dayton, Ohio 45402. Gallery Hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday, all unvaccinated visitors are required to wear masks and adhere to local COVID-19 restrictions.
