Informational event for the region's growing electric vehicle use
The Dayton region's first electric vehicle charger seminar will present information to businesses and organizations considering starting or expanding electric vehicle use. The Miami Valley EV Charger Seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the City Hall Planning Resource Center (101 W. Third St, mezzanine).
 
The seminar will offer a strategic planning and discussion session about the availability and future growth of EV chargers in the region, including discussion of desired charger locations and the pros and cons of acquiring chargers.
 
Also discussed will the charger installation rebate available through AES Ohio. This program allows businesses to receive rebates of up to 50 to 75% of eligible EV charger installation costs (up to 100% for local governments).
 
The event is presented by the City of Dayton, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, Montgomery County, AES Ohio, Clean Fuels Ohio, and Drive Electric Dayton.
 
Dozens of area businesses and organizations have registered; event organizers will be available for interviews.
