Let Ohio Women Vote!

Since 1869, Dayton women arduously worked towards gaining the right to vote. Over 50 years of activism was finally successful when Ohio voted in favor of the 19th Amendment in 1919. One woman in particular, Librarian Electra Collins Doren, saved many important records which are now part of DML’s extensive local history collection.
