Community Conversations: Books of the Dayton Literary Peace Prize
Engaging teachers from area universities will be joined by eminent Daytonians to talk about these works’ impact and artistry, essential themes, and connections to the authors’ other work, and the power of the written word to promote peace. If you’ve already read these authors, or are just thinking about doing so, these conversations will enrich your appreciation and understanding of these authors and their works.
October 2, Andrew Strombeck, Ph.D. Associate Professor of English, Wright State University, leads discussion about

November 2, Sharon Short, author of My One Square Inch of Alaska, Executive Director of the Antioch Writers' Workshop and author of the DDN's weekly Literary Life column leads discussion about the 2017 lifetime achievement award recipient, Colm Tóibín.
