Community Action Day

Community Action DayMay is National Community Action Month

A month dedicated to recognizing the success of the National Community Action Network that fights poverty across the United States. Come learn about the programs and services Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) has to offer. More than 20 community partners will be on-hand to share information about their programs and services as well. Come hear from some of our customers about what MVCAP has done for them. Door prizes will be awarded (must be present to win) and box lunches will be provided (first come, first serve).

No registration is needed prior to the event. Please register onsite. Walk in anytime between 11am-1pm.

Agenda

  • 11am – 1pm: Visit with MVCAP and fellow community partners
  • 11am: Box lunches available
  • 12pm: Proclamation, customer stories, awards, and prize drawing (must be present to win)

Parking
This event will be held at the RiverScape Metro Park Pavilion. Limited metered parking is available There are more than 30 parking garages/lots in the downtown area. View interactive parking map

Bus Travel
RTA bus 05, 07, 08, 09, 11, 12, 14, 17, 18, 19, 22, 43 or the Flyer all have stops on E Monument Ave with a short walk to the RiverScape Pavilion area. Plan accordingly by visiting the RTA’s trip planner.

Community Action Day is taking place at Riverscape MetroPark, which is located at 111 E. Monument Avenue in Dayton. Riverscape MetroPark - Activities for all ages - from concerts to community events to river rentals, to ice-skating and more.
