The DAI will waive its suggested admission and offer free general admission to the permanent collection on Friday, May 18, as part of the celebration of AAMD Art Museum Day.
The DAI will take part in the ninth annual Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) Art Museum Day, coinciding with International Museum Day, on Friday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The DAI will waive its suggested general admission to the collection galleries on Art Museum Day and also offer a free Meet the Museum tour at 3:30 p.m. that day.
Anyone purchasing a new museum membership or upgrading an existing membership at our Guest Services Desk will be entered for a chance to win two (2) tickets to the Oktoberfest Preview Party on September 21! (Must purchase or upgrade in person at the museum; must be 21 or older to enter drawing; winner to be selected June 22)
Take part in our Art Museum Day Social Media Challenge from May 14 through May 20 for a chance to win four (4) tickets to Trivia Night at The Dayton Art Institute on Friday, July 13. Here's how it works:
Turn a photo you've taken at the museum into a "work of art" using the free Prisma app or a similar photo editing app. Then either post your photo here on the Facebook event page, or post it to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #DaytonArt to enter the contest. One winner will be randomly selected on May 21.
