Encaustic Painting
Encaustic painting is the use of pigmented wax to create paintings. Students learn basic encaustic techniques and then use those techniques to explore the medium and create multiple small paintings. Experimentation is encouraged! Because this is a very process-oriented medium, the focus will be on trying different methods and learning how the materials can work together for very different results. Beginning and intermediate students welcome. Class meets Saturday 10 – 4 p.m. April 27, $77/resident; $88/non-resident. To register, call Rosewood Arts Centre at (937) 296-0294.
