2020 HOMETOWN EXPO IS CANCELLED
It is with a heavy heart that the 2020 EXPO Committee and Springboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors have decided to cancel the 2020 Hometown EXPO. This decision was not made lightly and after months of brainstorming various ways to have the event we've landed on cancelling for this year for the safety of our community. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 in our community, the EXPO Committee felt there was no safe, responsible and effect way to orchestrate the event at this time and the value for EXPO Exhibitors is significantly diminished considering the current situation.

Hometown EXPO "That Spring Thing" was originally slated to take place on Saturday, March 21st at Springboro High School. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Health suspended all large gatherings ten days prior to the original date and the event was initially postponed to May 2nd at Springboro High School. We decided to further suspend the date to September 26th and were very excited to have it outside in Historic Springboro with an event similar to Christmas in Springboro, Oktoberfest Springboro, and ARTFest on Main.

It became clear after lengthy discussions with our 2020 EXPO Committee and the Springboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors that this event would not be possible to hold to the high standards we have established over the years. We did not want the reputation of the event to suffer for future years and are making the safety of our sponsors, vendors, volunteers and attendees our top priority.
