Women of Influence: A Tribute to the 23rd Class

YWCA Dayton will recognize the seven women of its 2020 Women of Influence honoree class – which was postponed in March 2020 due to COVID-19 – with a special prime-time television tribute, 7:30 p.m., June 25 on WHIO-TV (Channel 7). The broadcast will also be streamed live on whio.com, WHIO’s Facebook page, and the WHIO news app.

This marks the 23rd class of honorees; with an average attendance of 800, every year Women of Influence is the single largest daytime nonprofit luncheon in Dayton. Since 1998, the YWCA Dayton WOI Awards have recognized and honored more than 160 women and organizations who have made a difference in our community through their dedication to the YWCA mission of empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

2020 Honorees include: Maribeth Graham, retired administrator, Iddings Foundation; Peggy Lehner, former Ohio Senator; Marya Rutherford Long, vice president – community and economic development manager, Fifth Third Bank; Jane Marx, vice president/controller, Culmen Real Estate Services; Julia Reichert, independent filmmaker; and Becky Sorrell, director, Preble County Job and Family Services. Additionally, Jenell Ross, president & CEO, Bob Ross Auto Group, will be honored as the Lifetime Achievement awardee.
