Wanted Dead: Invasive Plants
But they’re only plants, right? Wrong! Nationwide, invasive plants cost us an estimated $33 billion per year. Our naturalist explains why non-native plants are such a problem—how they displace native plants and wildlife, increase wildfire and flood danger, and consume valuable water. We’ll learn where these plants came from, why they were brought here, and what we can do to protect wild lands. Following the presentation we will take a short walk to meet some of these pesky species. $5, members free. Held in the Glen Auditorium
