Memory Cafe - Senior Yoga for Beginners
As part of the Memory Café series at Washington-Centerville Public Library, Bob Gillis, Isha Foundation-qualified instructor, will share simple and powerful yoga postures to bring stability and balance on Friday, November 1, 2-3 p.m. at Woodbourne Library. Some of the benefits of yoga include:
- Chronic ailment relief
- Relief of back pain, stress, anxiety and tension
- Strengthening of the spine
No physical agility or prior yoga experience is needed and ongoing online support will be provided. Participants should have a light stomach (1-1/2 hour gap after eating) and wear comfortable clothes. No mats will be needed. The Memory Café is intended to serve the senior adult community, but all adults are welcome to attend.
The program is free, but registration is suggested to ensure adequate space. To register, go to wclibrary.info/events, or call Debe Dockins at the Library at 610-4429.
