Intro To Garments - Fancy Tiger Crafts One Hour Top
This is an intro to sewing garments class! You ever wanted to start learning how to make your own clothing? Don't be discouraged, It's not as hard as you think, with the right instruction, a little practice you are going to love making these basic staple pieces in no time! We will be making the One Hour Top by Fancy Tiger Craft! I have gotten permission from Jamie and Amber already to teach this as long as you download the PATTERN from their site!
This shirt is a loose fit, batwing style top that is comfortable for all body shapes. You can also alter the pattern to be off the shoulder!
Prerequisites: Sewing Basics or equivalent skill - must know how to change a needle, thread machine, and use seam allowance.
What you will learn:

Taping a PDF Pattern together - tips and tricks
Finding your size to make
Adjusting the pattern length or width
Knit/Stretch Needles and why we use them

Ages: 10 and up (adults welcomed and encouraged)

Bring:
1 3/4 yard of medium weight stretch knit (I also have basic solids at the studio for $8/yd - Robert Kaufman)
Printed Pattern from Fancy Tiger Craft (if you feel comfortable taping the pattern together, please do before class)
Supplies included for use:
Stretch Needles (size 12/14)
Thread
Basic sewing kit
Machine
- Please do not bring your machine during this class, I will have the machines set up with a stretch needle prior to the class.
Parking on Grange Hall; Park in Decoy/Knickerbocker Lot
Follow either sidewalk on the side of building to the studio door that faces Dayton-Xenia.
