It's hard to believe, but it's been five years since Chef Dana Downs rocked Dayton's historic Oregon District with the opening of Roost Modern Italian.  Chef Downs also opened a second restaurant last year, Park City Club, which is located in the space formerly known as "Lincoln Park Grille", and more recently "The Tropics", adjacent to the Fraze Pavilion.

Now, Downs is bringing together the brand for which she is most well-known, and co-branding both restaurants.

Park City Club will change its name to "Roost American", effective next Wednesday, February 15.  Sister restaurant, Roost Modern Italian will simply become "Roost Italian".

The restaurant industry is ever changing”, says Chef Downs, “with two restaurants, we can internally compare our results restaurant to restaurant to help us deliver a better product with even greater service.

Downs said that customers can expect the same great dining experience with improved consistencies in service, staff, and offerings in both restaurants. “We are raising the bar just a bit at Roost American – and giving our customers the items that they have continually requested”, said Downs.

Roost Italian is located at 524 E. Fifth Street, is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 5 to 11pm and Sunday 5 to 9pm.

Roost American is located at 580 Lincoln Park Boulevard is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm.
