Boonshoft Museum Hosts Another Exciting Super Science Saturday!

Super Science Saturday (SSS), one of the most popular family-oriented science events to take place in the area, returns to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Super Science Saturday allows area residents to experience interesting science and maximum enjoyment for all ages Free of charge!

The March Super Science Saturday theme is Going Green. In that spirit, the Museum offers a day of programs dedicated to learning about the environment. Visitors can explore the impact of oil spills, learn about water treatment, explore creative ways to recycle, “fish” for trash, and come face-to-face with live animals as we discover the consequences of our local actions on a world-wide scale.

Super Science Saturday is one of four free admission days the Museum hosts for guests throughout the year. Visitors have come to expect the interesting mix of educational talks, science theater presentations, hands-on experiments, live animal events, and yummy selections from our popular food vendors.

SSS is a great experience for children, and games and activities that inspire creativity and scientific curiosity abound. Standard Museum programming will also proceed as normally scheduled and Discovery Zoo animal ambassadors will greet guests throughout the day.

We recognize that all of this fun and science can make our guests awfully hungry, so food-truck vendor UnderDogs will be on hand to cater to the appetites of science nerds of all persuasions at reasonable prices.

All Super Science Saturday programs and activities are FREE as part of the day-long science celebration.
