Christmas trees will be used to restore habitats at state-owned lakes throughout southwestern Ohio.
Five Rivers MetroParks will begin accepting holiday trees on Jan. 2 at Eastwood MetroPark. Trees can be dropped off through Jan. 20. The boat ramp parking area in white will be marked for tree collection during this time. Please remove all decorations from the tree before donating.
Last year, trees were collected and sunk to help the aquatic habitat and fishing opportunities at Eastwood Lake. This year, trees will still be collected at Eastwood MetroPark, but will be used to restore habitats at state-owned lakes throughout southwestern Ohio.
