Levitt Pavilion Dayton Opening Weekend

The inaugural season of free music under the stars at the new Levitt Pavilion begins tomorrow, Thursday, August 9, 2018!  The at the outdoor amphitheater will have 34 scheduled concerts between tomorrow and early October, and plan to have at least 50 free concerts next year.

Opening weekend kicks off with Latin pop songstress, as Gina Chavez takes the stage, followed on Friday (8/10) with the Eichelberger Jazz Series featuring Paul Brown and Chris Standring. Saturday (8/11), Levitt National Tour presents acclaimed Southern raconteur Paul Thorn alongside multi-GRAMMY-winning gospel legends Blind Boys of Alabama for an electrifying collaboration fusing gospel, blues and rock! Opening weekend wraps up on Sunday (8/12) with family favorites Trout Fishing in America, as part of the PNC family series.

Here's what you need to know:

  • All concerts are FREE, no tickets are required
  • The venue is family-friendly, and dog-friendly
  • Blankets, lawn chairs, picnics and coolers are encouraged (no glass containers on the lawn, please)
  • Food trucks / beverage vendors will be available onsite
  • Parking is available on surrounding streets, which is free after 6pm
  • Additional parking is available at the Oregon District Garage (formerly the Transportation Garage, 101 E. Fifth St.) for $1 after 6pm.
