A Dayton based firm has been selected as general contractor for the Levitt Pavilion Dayton project.
Friends of Levitt Pavilion Dayton is pleased to announce that Shook Construction, a Dayton based firm, has been selected as general contractor for the Levitt Pavilion Dayton project. Construction will begin in December with the goal of ribbon-cutting and opening mid-summer 2018.
The City of Dayton and the Friends of Levitt Pavilion Dayton are collaborating with the Dayton-Montgomery County Port Authority to manage the construction effort and stay within the construction budget of $5 million.
Jeff Ireland, Board chair for the Friends of Levitt Dayton, said, “We are excited to be moving into this next phase of the project, and closer to realizing the goal of creating and building a community asset to bring the Dayton region together one free concert at a time.”
When completed in 2018, Levitt Pavilion Dayton will be located on Dave Hall Plaza and will become the seventh signature Levitt Pavilion, joining Denver, Arlington, Memphis, Bethlehem, and Los Angeles. Central to the Levitt Pavilion’s mission is the creation and the development of gathering spaces that will result in stronger, healthier, and interconnected neighborhoods.
Levitt Pavilion Dayton will provide 50 free concerts to the community, featuring local, regional, national and international musicians, with an emphasis on creative and diverse programming.
