Dayton Brewery Alliance releasing #daytonstrong IPA to help Tornado victims as ongoing effort

The Dayton Brewery Alliance is continuing their relief efforts by collaborating on a beer called #daytonstrong IPA. All proceeds of the beer will go to the Dayton Foundation as part of an ongoing effort to help Dayton area people in need after the devastating tornadoes passed through the area on Memorial Day weekend 2019.

Several of the breweries will be making versions of #daytonstrong IPA to serve in their taprooms and to sell to other member breweries of the Dayton Brewers Alliance.  Warped Wing will be canning over 1,000 cases to be distributed out to the market.

“2019 has been a heartfelt and difficult year for the people of Dayton”, said Nick Bowman, VP/Sales & Marketing and Managing Partner at Warped Wing. “That said, it’s amazing how people in our community come together to help friends and neighbors in need. It speaks to the level of character, care and giving that makes our city so great”, said Bowman.

“The can embodies a minimalistic, purposefully under designed look as not to over-shadow what we are trying to do. This is about all the people in need. Our neighbors, many, who have lost everything”, said Bowman

Copy on the front of the can reads:

Through darkness comes light.
Through fear comes compassion.
Through tragedy comes triumph.

The release of the beer will follow the schedule below:

  • Sneak Peak release on tap at Yellow Cab Beer! Event on Friday, August 16th
  • Taproom Release at all the Dayton Area Breweries on Saturday, August 17th
  • Warped Wing will start distributing cans only to bars, restaurants and retails accounts starting Monday, August 19th

This project was made possible by the following sponsors and partners who contributed either raw materials or services. Those groups are as follows; TRIPACK, LD Carlson, Century Label, Country Malt Group, John Pattison, Brewer’s Supply Group
