Dayton Metro Library Unveils New App

Dayton Metro Library unveils all-new app

Carry the Dayton Metro Library in your pocket – or at least have easier access to it – with the new DML app. The new app is easier to use and more adaptable to different platforms.

“We listened to user feedback and rebuilt our old app from the ground up,” said DML Web Developer Matthew Jones. “We created a new mobile experience that is more responsive, stable, and easy to use.”

The new DML app allows users to:

  • Search for books, eBooks, movies and music in the Library’s collection
  • Reserve materials to be held for pick up
  • See at a list of items they have currently checked out
  • Find Branch Library locations and hours
  • Access a digital version of their Library card

“There’s no need to keep a physical Library card in your wallet or fumble around trying to find your key tag,” said Jones. “With the new DML app, you’ll always have your Library card handy.”

More features will be coming soon.

For Apple users, the new DML app is an update to the old one. The new version should appear on their device, or can be accessed at the Apple Store. Android Users will find that their old Library app will no longer work. They will have to manually uninstall the old app and download the new version from the Play Store.
