Time Inc. publication MONEY magazine has named Wright-Patt Credit Union as the “best bank in Ohio 2017-2018” as part of its “Best Bank in Every U.S. State”. The magazine used information from Bankrate.com to evaluate data on fees, interest rates, and account requirements for checking and savings accounts.
The magazine also acknowledged changes in consumer demands, noting that although most of us still want access to physical banks and human help, two-thirds of us prefer to manage our finances via phone or online banking.
According to the magazine, WPCU was chosen for reasons that included free checking accounts with no monthly fees, and access to about 340 Co-Op branches. Also cited was MagnifyMoney's 2017 Mobile Banking App Study, which ranked Wright-Patt's mobile app in the top 10 nationally.
