Made in Dayton: Living Simply Soap

On a snowy day in 2001 Tanya Brown gathered up her shortening, olive oil and lye to make homemade soap. Using her family and friends as guinea pigs she spent the next several years learning the craft and experimented with formulas, fragrances and packaging.

Living Simply Soap - Dayton Ohio

Tanya's goal was to create a formula that would be conditioning yet still deliver tons of rich creamy lather, smell incredible, be affordable enough for everyday use and packaged beautifully enough for gift giving.

In 2007 she set up a little stand at the local farmer's market in Tipp City, OH. The soaps were a huge hit and business took off from there. Tanya and the Brown family opened the Living Simply Soap shop on June 23, 2011.

The Brown family also operates a booth in the 2nd Street Market in Dayton in addition to offering their products to fans everywhere through the website.

I can tell you from personal experience that Tanya crafts superior products and offers something for everyone. She has an entire line of products for men and beautiful confection scented bath bombs for girls of all sizes as well as her famous olive oil soaps, lotions, creams, fragrance sprays, and candles.

Perfect gifts for Christmas, Hanukkah, and all gift giving occasions.
