Award-winning playwright Christopher Durang has created a witty and incisive new farce for our modern hyperconnected world. In bucolic Bucks County, PA, Vanya and Sonia have frittered their lives away in their family’s farmhouse full of regret, angst and the alarmingly ambiguous prophecies of their addled housecleaner Cassandra. Enter their sister, self-absorbed movie star Masha, with her prized 20-something boy toy Spike, and the stage is set for an absurd weekend of general hilarity and global warming. 

AGE RECOMMENDATION:
Ages 17 and up. As a play about three middle-aged siblings and a hot young stud, this production includes adult humor, language, and situations not suitable for the entire family. Attending the Premier Health Broadway Series is not necessarily a family event. We program the series for adults and young people age 13 and older. Our policy is children under the age of 6 will not be permitted. Occasionally a particular production will include content that is generally not suitable for those under the age of 17. For the consideration of all patrons, children on laps and/or babes in arms are not permitted at Victoria Theatre Association Broadway presentations.

Join us one hour prior to select Premier Health Broadway Series performances for Background on Broadway, a series of informative and entertaining talks by theatre professionals, focusing on the development, history and artistry of the touring show. These pre-show chats are free and open to all ticket holders. VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE Background on Broadway talks are Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. in the Victoria Theatre’s 3rd floor reception room.
